Mikal Sa Leta

Mikal’s natural talent and passionate love for music has developed into a lifelong career. Sharing the stage with successful musicians from such bands as Toto, Hanson, Thirsty Merc, Screaming Jets, Killing Heidi and Taxi Ride, amongst others has been beneficial to his drive with continuing to make music his life.

Mikal has had his music featured in channel Ten’s AFL Grand final promotional period with his band Square One, and the song Sweet September. Whilst with Square One the band was offered a licensing deal with Art Union Japan. This saw Mikal and his band Square One to have their work distributed throughout Asia where their cd was recently sold online for close to AU$300. Mikal also collaborated with Nicole Mclean, one of the survivors of the 2002 Bali bombings, writing and producing his song Stronger Now.

Mikal is an inspiring mentor through his current work as a music teacher with the Universal School of Music in Melbourne, Australia. Engaging with students to draw out their best talents by continuing to write, perform and produce new songs. Mikal will be heading to Nashville in 2019 to share more of his talent and collaborate with many other song writers in the Country Music scene.
